STAGE 03 / 03  —  WHERE FOOTAGE BECOMES STORY

Post-Production edit, colour & sound

Post-production is where the footage becomes a film. Heyfolk Film runs offline edit, colour grade, sound design, licensed music and motion graphics in house in Bangkok. A first cut lands seven to ten days after wrap, and three rounds of revisions are included as standard before the master is delivered.

What happens in
post-production?

Five tracks, stacked on one timeline. All of it in house — nothing subcontracted out and back.

V1

Offline edit

Story, pace and structure. First cut in 7–10 days after wrap.

V2

Colour grade

Matching, balancing, then a look built for the brand.

A1

Sound design

Dialogue clean-up, effects, foley and the final mix.

A2

Licensed music

Cleared for the usage agreed in the quote — never a grey track.

GFX

Motion graphics

Titles, animated text, lower thirds, end frames. VFX on request.

Before and after the grade

The same frame, ungraded and graded. This is the single most useful thing a client can see before commissioning a film.

Post-production questions

How long until we see a first cut?

Seven to ten days after the shoot wraps. Colour grade, sound design and motion graphics follow once the cut is locked, because grading a cut that still changes means grading it twice.

How many rounds of revisions are included?

Three, as standard. They are counted on the offline edit, where changes are cheap — which is why we ask for consolidated feedback rather than notes trickling in.

Do you deliver vertical versions for social?

Yes. Cutdowns come in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1. We frame for all three on set, so the vertical version is a real composition rather than a crop that loses half the frame.
